Initial Impressions

Appearance: 88
Aroma: 90
Construction: 90

“This cigar just impresses you with its sheer size! It seems like its at least 7 inches long and a RG of 56 or more…I can’t say I have ever smoked anything this big! The cigar seems well built with a lot of veins in the wrapper giving it a very toothy character.” –Sandeep (Djangos)
“Foot and wrapper give off a tobacco and hay aroma.  The pre-light draw also hints at some chocolate notes.” –Jason (bigslowrock)
“Firm with no soft spots. It has a hefty feel, but balanced when held.” –Ron (shuckins)

First Third

Flavor: 88
Strength: Mild-Medium
Body/Complexity: Light-Medium

“A faint tobacco sweetness on the pre-light draw. Not getting a lot of smoke from the draws. Getting a drying effect on my palate. Retrohaling presents a light cedar flavor. After the ash fell off at about an inch and a half, the volume of smoke picked up as well. Began to get hints of cocoa as the third wrapped up.” –Aaron (aaron72)
“The barnyard theme continues with predominant flavors of hay and grass. There is a very mild pepper on the tongue. Not much change in the flavors though the third but the pepper seems to wane towards the end. Small whiffs of leather come in and out though the third. The smoke seems a little weak for such an immense cigar. The burn line is also not very straight. However the flavors are pleasant, mild and consistent.” –Sandeep (Djangos)

Second Third

Flavor: 88
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“Peppery nutmeg with coffee and cedary tasting tobacco start the second third. About halfway in and it’s trying to get creamy as a touch of leather shows up, blending nicely with the coffee and taking the edge off the peppery nutmeg. The cedar tobacco flavor has a bit of sweetness to it now.” –Ron (shuckins)
“No significant changes in this third from the last third. The pepper has definitely vanished and there is a faint note of cedar. The burn is leveling off now. Ash held for less than one inch before falling off. Quite surprising is the fact that it is burning quite fast for the large RG and this is very unexpected.” –Sandeep (Djangos)

Final Third

Flavor: 87
Strength: Mild-Medium
Body/Complexity: Light-Medium

“Not much of a change in this third. Still the same cedar flavor with some smokiness added to it.” –Aaron (aaron72)
“Not as creamy as I thought it was going to be when the leather showed up because the peppery nutmeg has fought it’s way back in. It still has a nutty cedar tasting tobacco entering the final third. The last couple of inches and the leather has faded even more, leaving the coffee and nutty cedar tasting tobacco, and letting the pepper kick it up a notch.” –Ron (shuckins)

Overall Impressions

Draw: 90
Burn: 90

“No problem with the draw.  I usually don’t like the draw on large format cigars, but this one pulls it off.” –Jason (bigslowrock)
“The burn was very good, a little wavy at times and the ash kept falling every inch or two.” –Ron (shuckins)

Overall Experience: 89
Overall Strength: Mild-Medium
Overall Body: Medium
Smoking Time (in minutes): 125

“Nothing spectacular from the flavors, just a decent smoke.” –Aaron (aaron72)
“The monotony of the cigar is possibly the reason why I may not give this another try. The flavors are pleasant and mild however in the grand scheme of things a very ‘uneventful’ cigar in my opinion.” –Sandeep (Djangos)
“I enjoyed the cigar even though it’s not one of my go to vitolas. It was a pretty good cigar to spend a couple of hours with.” –Ron (shuckins)
“I’m not a fan of large format cigars and this one didn’t change my mind.  Just a boring long smoke.  I probably wouldn’t even want a free one of these cigars.” –Jason (bigslowrock)
