Initial Impressions

Appearance: 89

Blind Man's Puff Cigar Review: Ramon Bueso Genesis The Project Robusto Initial Impressions

“This one has a nice dark brown hue to it that is accentuated by the plentiful oils that the wrapper held.  The cigar was overall a smooth looking cigar with little tooth and minimal veins.  The cigar did not look bumpy but it felt it.  Probably the bunch under the wrapper/binder.” –Will (Dubv23)

Aroma: 92

“Nice pre-light draw and aroma of chocolate and tobacco.” –Jason (bigslowrock)

Construction: 89

“Construction looks good with a nice double cap and very few veins.  The cigar feels densely packed with a firmness to it.” –Nicholas (volpow61)

First Third

Flavor: 88

Blind Man's Puff Cigar Review: Ramon Bueso Genesis The Project Robusto First Third

Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“Sweetness to the creamy smoke, leathery dryness bit of a put off to me.” –Ian (Sp@rky426)
“The first third was very nice with a little pepper flavor. There was some medium smoke that tasted a little sweet and mellow. The draw was a little tight and the burn was a little uneven. The ash was nice and firm with a light grey color.” –Craig (WyldKnyght)

Second Third

Flavor: 89

Blind Man's Puff Cigar Review: Ramon Bueso Genesis The Project Robusto Second Third

Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“The second third was nice and complex where the flavors dance and interchange. The flavors are not overly strong nor overwhelming, they are very apparent but pleasing.  The second third had brought forward hints of dark coffee bean and cocoa that complimented the leather and spice.  The retrohale got stronger.  Both spicier and hotter in the nose.” –Will (Dubv23)
“On the second third the strength picked up and the burn evened out. Very nice smoke.” –Craig (WyldKnyght)

Final Third

Flavor: 88

Blind Man's Puff Cigar Review: Ramon Bueso Genesis The Project Robusto Final Third

Strength: Medium-Strong
Body/Complexity: Medium-Full

“The last third brought that meatiness more to the forefront of the flavor mixed in with a touch of earth and spice. The retrohale brought a more intense version of those same flavors.” –Nicholas (volpow61)
“Just getting some light tobacco and chocolate notes.” –Jason (bigslowrock)

Overall Impressions

Draw: 92

“The draw had a little more resistance than I would have liked but as the cigar progressed, the draw slightly loosened up.” –Will (Dubv23)

Burn: 95

“Great even burn. The cigar stayed lit and cool to the nub.” –Nicholas (volpow61)

Overall Strength: Medium-Strong
Overall Body: Medium

“While I enjoy leather in a cigar this one left a dryness that almost numbed my mouth from everything. Not a cigar I would seek out, but overall a sweet mild dry smoke.” –Ian (Sp@rky426)
“This was a really good cigar, which I enjoyed smoking. Starting out mild and building to full strength by the end. I would definitely smoke this cigar again and recommend it to anyone.” –Craig (WyldKnyght)
“This cigar just didn’t do anything for me at all.  I just found it boring.” –Jason (bigslowrock)
“This was a nice strong cigar that gave alot of flavor but did not overwhelm with strength.  The flavors were unique and complex.  The oily aspect was different but nice as that was not the main thing you tasted.  The cigar got bitter toward the end and I believe that to be because of the resistance in the draw causing it to burn hot.” – Will (Dubv23)
“Overall this smoke was right in my wheelhouse between the spice and meatiness it delivered exactly what I like in a cigar. A pleasant smoke the whole way through. Something given the right price I would puff again.” –Nicholas (volpow61)
